Adventurers Set Off to Circumnavigate the Island

This group of friends from Toronto has just set off from Meldrum Bay on a seven day trip around our world- Manitoulin Island.  These 11 adventurous souls choose a new adventure each year; in the past they have sailed up the St. Lawrence Seaway and off the coast of Newfoundland.  They arrived at the campground and split into two groups with one group putting up tents and preparing the campsite while the other unloads and assembles their two inflatable catamarans.  They launched Sunday July 2 morning and you might see them as they circumnavigate Manitoulin, hoping to return within eight days.
